Safety Awareness

"The personal safety and health of our DBM employees is our number one priority. Their well-being at our work sites is our greatest responsibility. Therefore, our worker health and safety will not be compromised in order to meet project schedule, production or cost demands.

Our company enjoys a unique culture that offers a true family atmosphere blended with outstanding in-house technical and commercial capabilities.  It is an environment that allows us to focus our innovation on both the complex needs of our clients and projects, as well as functional safety solutions.

We believe that an effective safety culture starts at the top – and I’m proud that our company’s ownership demands safety excellence.  We have tasked our senior management to lead by example. Our approach focuses on prioritizing onsite safety and supporting efforts to continuously improve while also holding people accountable. Management provides the necessary resources (time, training and equipment) to ensure that our employees work safely.   Our superintendents, foreman and field crew are crucial in executing and holding each other accountable for the same practices.

Safety cannot be the responsibility of any one individual.  We can only maximize our effectiveness if it is the responsibility of each team member doing the work. Therefore, we charge and challenge everyone to be leaders so that our goal of becoming the safest company in our industry is realized. This is how we will achieve our primary and critical goal, that at the end of every day, our entire team safely returns home from work to be with their families."
